While reading through the TV Tropes page of "Hidden Disdain Reveal", one example that impacted me a lot was Tomomi "Pets" Hetada from "FLCL: Alternative", who is described as a very troubled teen girl and finally falls out with the main heroine of the series without the issue getting resolved at the end.
