C is for Crocodile. A crocodile is another creature that can be dangerous too. Crocodiles are also part of the crocodilian family, just like Alligators. Some crocodiles live in Florida, others live in Asia, but most crocodiles live in Africa, those are called Nile Crocodiles. Crocodiles live in rivers in Africa and Asia, and swamps in Florida. And here are the differences between An Alligator and A Crocodile. Alligators are gray or dark gray. Crocodiles are olive green or brown. Alligators have wide rounded snouts in a U shape. Crocodiles have long pointy snout in a V shape. When an alligator closes his mouth, you can't see any teeth sticking up from his lower jaw. But when a crocodile closes his mouth, you can see some teeth sticking up from his lower jaw. Alligators can grow to 5 meters long. Crocodiles can grow to 6 meters long. Crocodiles' long jaw makes it easy for a crocodile to move his head side ways through the water quickly. Crocodiles can even fight with Tiger Sharks. Tiger Sharks do eat Crocodiles, but a crocodile can go right at a tiger shark and make him back down.
