Description Remember Advocate, from the posts about the Builders from a while back ? Well, this is Syndicate, and he's a super cool clone that can do way more stuff than Advocate himself could hope to try.

In classic comic design tradition, I palette-swapped a character to make a brand new character, and in this case, we get the Syndicate. Created during an experiment gone wrong between Advocate and Dr Connector (I like to imagine Advocate was trying to get him not to do the experiment, got in the way of the duplication ray or what-have-you, and ended up with this guy on his hands), the Syndicate is comprised of artificial flesh surrounding a biomechanical central processor, and is in almost every way a perfect clone of Advocate.

Almost every way.

His suit color and preferences are different, for one. Advocate's suit is based around construction-site safety — safety orange and reflective silver tape for accents — while the Syndicate eschews that for a much sleeker grey, red, and white combination that serves only to make him look cooler than his biological counterpart.

Also, the Syndicate Unit can split himself into further copies, although they each get progressively weaker. Each one is named in successive numbering (Syndicate-1, Syndicate-2, etc), and they can communicate with each other using radios and reform again later on. So, your almost-typical cloning-type hero with self-duplication abilities.

He tried to be part of the Builders for a while, and it probably worked out. Maybe Advocate and Dr Connector put him to work for extra labor force and lab help, because why wouldn't you? But he wouldn't want to do it forever, and eventually left to follow his own path and figure out who he actually is as an individual, separate from Advocate, his counterpart.

So, thus, the story of the Syndicate truly begins. Wherever that storyline might take me someday.
