Description Also thought I should upload a version of the Solarian while we're at it. If this were a comic book, the Solarian would be the "reboot" of the Sunbearer idea, an updated version for a new, post-70s generation.

This version of the character was a draft dodger who became a Sunbearer, and used the powers to fight villains domestically instead, but also to help progress science and technology as much as he could. He also became an entertainer and magician, showing off for the fans as much as he could, which is one reason his fire blasts were based around fireballs cast with his hands and legs, rather than the eye beams that Sunbeam focused on and tended to prefer.

Overall, the Solarian was a lot more hands-on and casual about everything than the Sunbeam was. Flare is his pixie assistant, the spirit of the solar crystals that transfer the Sunbearer powers from legacy to legacy, who just kind of looks like a dragon here because that's the closest thing that Factory Of Heroes had to a decent depiction; but he's meant to be just a little mascot character who guides and mentors each Sunbearer, or at least is supposed to after the Solarian takes over.

Finally, where Sunbeam's crystals took the form of his belt around his waist and Solar Girl's are the cuffs around her wrists, the Solarian's is in the form of a ring on his hand. (Another reason he prefers fireballs, since the ring makes them more powerful.) It changes form with each incarnation, so it has to be a little different to suit what each Sunbearer prefers.

Flare probably doesn't change form as much, but it has been canon since pretty much the original 2012 Supergirls In The Spotlight character blog that Flare never got along with Solar Girl very well, and she kicked him out of her partnership and that's the reason the "evil" version of Solar Girl, Socialighter, exists.

But the Solarian doesn't have a canon like that, because he got along with Flare a little too well. His villains include Dr Synergy, Major Muscle, the Dusk Knight, and Jack Frost (again). Probably some others too, but to be honest, the Solarian's canon is mostly only relevant as an in-between for Solar Girl and Sunbeam, and a retroactively-added portion of Solar Girl's backstory, so anything I do add to it pretty much has to fit in with those or it won't work for me, I think.
