For Christmas 2016, I recieved a very nice surprise in the form of an old Hornby Flying Scotsman model. When I started using the engine on my layout, he was jerking and stopping quite a bit. Thankfully after a few good runs, he became quite a smooth runner. The motor for Flying Scotsman is in the tender, and boy does it ever have power. After a few minutes, without me doing anything, it started speeding up like the real locomotive would, and I thought my Bachmann Spencer was fast. Man Hornby sure do know what they are doing when it comes to building models. The box was in rough shape, but happily the locomotive is in perfect shape and even has chain couplers on the front.
