On a rain soaked day, Sunset asks Fluttershy to meet up with her at the school as she's bringing in a cat, and since Fluttershy has a way with animals, she can find out if the cat is healthy after living outside all alone for so long. After a conversation with the cat, Fluttershy reports that the cat is fine, but asks Sunset if she could take it back to the shelter. Sunset says no, but says she wants to adopt the cat as her second pet.Does that cat look familiar? Well it should, it's the cat from the Monday Blues music video from 2017. One of my favourite moments from that video was when Sunset came to a stop and got down to see the cat. I wished in the show that she would've gone back afterwords and taken the cat home, but that didn't happen. Oh well, it was still too good of a moment to pass up, so I wrote up a fanfiction and now months after doing that, I'm ready to share the first illustration from that story. This was the first time I drew Sunset up with that sweater and with her hair wet, and it was also the first time I drew up the cat. The most difficult part of the whole illustration was the background scenery. I never knew there was so much detail that went into a classroom background. Oh well, it was still fun to draw up.

That was my favourite moment too!
(And Sunset returning to bed after alarm clock waking her up(and of course then having to rush), and just don't carring her hair are a mess and going like she is to school... because well... it's so much like me (ok that first don't happen all the time but something it is the case) well stoping just to pet the cat... is also much like me... even though im allergic to cats but I love cats!)
And well I myself also wanted she to adopt that cat... well in my headcannon she does. It was inspired by other art, in which Sunset is in her home with Sunray and the cat is at her window... so I go with that moment later she notice it and... well couldn't help but taking him home(even though saying earlier something about less furry pet...). And from that moment she is having two pets ^^
And I would love to read Your story about that! But... have You puted in on fimfiction? I prefef it over fanfiction.net... I seem to find your account there but without that story about second pet(though I find some other I want to read... and heh, I have also one idea of other topic You included in Your stories there - if I'm right that this is Your account - I mean new Sunset outfit... but I considered it as something what was kinda planed before Rainbow Rocks even, the idea of new outfit come's from Rarity to show Sunset has changed and well... it just wasn't ready before Rainbow Rocks (partially based on the fact that in video "My past is not today" (which I consider rather just artistic vision and announcement of Sunset's alicornization, but not a canonical event per se), which take place between Rainbow Rock and Friendship Gamese I think. And Rainbow Rocks (nocidering it's first scene) surely take place soon after Equestria Girls... and making whole new outfit surely takes some time).
