Tom Kat was made with a steel-tube frame and fiberglass body. Tom Kat was built as the replacement for Rhinestone Cowgirl and the Omaha Buggy. Rhinestone Cowgirl was totaled in New Zealand, and the Omaha Buggy simply couldn't handle the duties of the more treacherous races she was doing.
