Description
Lucile the absol, and her big teddy bear of a mate, Dimitri the Pangoro.===
It was a perfect summer day, not too hot not too cold. Emile and Stella had stopped in a clearing in the forest, and let all their pokemon out to have lunch. Raoul went immediately to yip a beg at master Emile's feet while he prepared food. Even though he was getting to that age when he would evolve he still acted like a kit. Well at least he wasn't using his illusion ability to transform into something like a monferno like Pepper and run off with the food. Never saw Pepper get so worked up. Least that zorua learned his lesson.
Lunch was over, everyone was happy and full. The two trainers Stella and Emile had cleaned up all the dishes. Stella then took her team, Pepper, Rook, Diona and Crash off to train in the open field. While Emile sat himself up against a tree and started reading. Raoul swiftly took this opportunity for attention by curling himself up on his trainer’s lap. Without breaking his concentration Emile had lifted his book out of the way and with one free hand, started petting Raoul’s back. Content, the little zorua drifted off to sleep.
Lucile watched over the whole scene with a faint smile. Then gave out a somber sigh. As always, that big gruff pangoro was nowhere to be found during the entire event. When ever they made stops like this Dimitri would immediately wander off on his own and train. Lucy knew this and knew he needed that time to blow if his steam, but he was gone longer than usual. It worried her a bit, so she decided that it would be best to look for her pangoro.
The absol headed into the woods where she remembered seeing him enter. She was able to follow his trail easily, but the strides of his footprints seemed to lengthen farther apart and through lots of underbrush. It was getting farther and farther away from their trainer too. Now she was really concerned. Was he actually running away this time?
Lucile started sprinting down his path as fast as her four legs could carry her. Frantically she darted her eyes back and forth, until she spotted something, a familiar leafy twig poking out from behind a big tree. Without a second thought she dashed straight over to the far side of that tree. But no familiar mass of black and white fur was standing there. There was nothing. There was scratching sound coming from over head. Looking up she could see that it was only a fletchinder, it had perched itself upon a branch at a very deceiving height, but in its beak was that very familiar green twig. It seemed to be trying to build a nest with the twig. It must have snached Dimitri’s and he tried to chase after it, but being a fighting type he couldn't catch it, then got lost. Coming to this conclusion relieved Lucy.
Lucy was thankfully agile enough to climb up to the branch with ease. As she landed she let out a big growl. This was enough to spook the bird and it fled, dropping the twig in its panic. Lucy snached the bamboo twig from the pile of sticks with her mouth and jumped down from the tree. She positioned the twig the same way Dimitri always does mocking his angry mug, she giggled to herself, and started on the trail once more.
She could tell that she was getting closer. His frustration was very apparent from the destruction along his path. Trees were either missing their limbs or chunks missing rocks had been tossed aside or boulders split in two. Lucile shook her head in dismay. All for a twig.
The destruction became less and less apparent the farther she went. Until finally, there he was, passed out under a big oak tree.
Looked like the poor bear must of tired himself out after his tantrum. Feeling quite exhausted herself she decided that she wanted to join him. Being careful not to wake him, she gingerly climbed up on top of him.
Finding a comfortable position, Lucy settled herself down. She placed her head down on her paw and eased her eyes closed. But just as she did, something sharp poked at Lucy’s face. Startled, she reeled her head up from where it rested and nearly dropped the leafy twig from her mouth. She thought she must have woken him up, but looking up at his face his eyes were still closed. The big bear was still out cold, but was stirring and hazily reaching for something. Most likely still desperate to look for the twig she found.
Gently, Lucy stopped his searching paw with hers. "Don't worry, I got it.” And nuzzled the fur on the back of his paw.
His expression relaxed, slightly, and he was still once more. The big guy lowered his paw onto his belly and the absol nestled her head down on those big claws.
"I'll give it back when you wake up, get some rest."
