Description SPOILER ALERT FOR "ANOTHER NOTE"! PLEASE DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THE NOVEL AND DON'T WANT TO BE SPOILED!

Okay, then!

XD My favorite of my "draw out of a hat" pictures that I drew today. I colored this one with Copics, and again it felt so easy it as like touching line art and suddenly it's in color. I really do Copics!

Anyway, I actually did draw "Mello", "Naomi" and "In a Musical" out randomly, and I added B because he's oh-so-important for this scene. I know the red eyes make it pretty obvious who "Ryuzaki" is, but I couldn't really draw him as B without them...I hope this didn't spoil "Another Note" for anybody! =/

Anyway, if "Another Note" was a musical, you can bet Mello would be the narrator (and thus the lead singer. XD)

Er...lyrics invented on the spot. For anybody who doesn't know, in this scene the coffee had WAY too much sugar thanks to a certain spiky-haired, sugar-sucking individual with eyebags. And also... was the only couch Mello had on hand to be a prop for this scene, okay? I know the one in the novel was (sadly) not Zeb, but hey, this is Mello's musical production, and if he says Zeb gets to star in it too...are YOU gonna tell him no?

Beyond Birthday (aka B) is from the Death Note novel "Another Note: The Los Angeles BB Murder Cases", and belongs to the author, NISIOISIN.

Naomi Misora and Mello are from the anime/manga Death Note, and belong to Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata.

Now that I actually know what Kira's laugh SOUNDS like, that emote is HYSTERICAL to me. XD Have you ever seen the YouTube movie "Kira laughs insanely while I play inappropriate music"? It's Kira's Japanese laugh edited to go on forever, with "Ave Maria" playing in the background. If you don't watch the screen, it sounds more like he's sobbing hysterically...

XD; Anyway! Glad you enjoyed my picture.

Yes, but you have to hear the Kira laugh French version, Fast forward and slow version. ITS GOING TO FLIP YOU OUT OF YOUR CHAIR.

...
I can do that in real life, hence my identity here.

Hm, I could try to talk my friends into it, but there aren't any cons around where I am. ; And they probably wouldn't do it right. XD I'd end up being Misora because of my hair..

At first I didn't cop that their reactions were to the coffee, I thought they were passing some judgement on Mello's singing!

You know now you've put Mello in a spotlight with a microphone, he'll probably never leave...

And Zeb gets a moment in the limelight too! Thanks; he'll start acting the real diva now and be a total pain to live with!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Threshie In reply to AN-Pseudonym [2009-02-19 00:19:56 +0000 UTC]

XD LOL! Well, once you see Mello's lyrics it clears things up that they're definitely reacting to the coffee. Hehehe.

I think Mello would be great at singing. Just because Wammy's kids are talented like that! Oh! Speaking of, here's what Mello's Japanese singing voice is like (it's the same seiyuu, singing a character song for another role) [link] Near's Japanese seiyuu also has a lot of songs she sang as other characters that are good examples of what Near would sound like if HE ever sang anything.

I HAD to make the sofa Zeb...it seemed wrong not to do so!

AN-Pseudonym In reply to Threshie [2009-02-19 08:48:19 +0000 UTC]

*closes eyes and pretends it's Mello singing* Yeah, he's good! That'll work for the band! Plus he'd be all *love me* and strutting his stuff as a frontman... Pity I can't understand a word....

Yes. Every sofa that is not Zeb is wrong. Fact.

Threshie In reply to AN-Pseudonym [2009-02-20 02:36:40 +0000 UTC]

Kinda sexy voice, huh? LOL...here's a link to a copy of the song with the lyrics in the description in English and Japanese: [link] It's a character song for the main character in Yu Yu Hakusho, Yusuke Urameshi.

Zeb just makes any picture with a sofa BETTER. It didn't look complete in this pic until I added the stripes.

XD I actually liked Mello's dub voice a lot...but in an "aww, that's kind of cute" way. I love the first scene M and N are in because of Mello's dub voice.

I at first couldn't stand to listen to it...then once I tried it again, it sounded really cute, actually. LOl; I was just shocked that Mello actually had a LOW voice, to be honest. XD;

AN-Pseudonym In reply to Threshie [2009-02-20 21:29:59 +0000 UTC]

Well, yeah! He doesn't sound squeaky at least. And I did re-listen. It's not as bad as I remembered it actually!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Threshie In reply to AN-Pseudonym [2009-02-21 00:36:35 +0000 UTC]

XD I didn't imagine him SQUEAKY, exactly, but with his delicate appearance I really wasn't expecting such a...manly voice.

AN-Pseudonym In reply to Threshie [2009-02-21 11:31:18 +0000 UTC]

What would you rather, Mello opens his mouth and it sounds like someone on helium.. or Mello opens his mouth and it sounds like a that guy singing old man river?
(Which, btw, we've worked out is a song about Near in the retirement home)
I think both would be hilarious... but I think the bass voice would be funnier, yes. You're right! I just had to picture it to make sure...

Ho dang! I remember that scene, but imagining Mello singing it in a Viking opera outfit in ball-twisting soprano makes it that much better. Btw, have you ever seen this? [link]

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Threshie In reply to MsMojorisin [2009-02-18 03:19:09 +0000 UTC]

XD LOL--no, I hadn't! Thanks for the link...it was awesome in a terrifying way. Better yet, it led to THIS one, in which the L has EXCELLENT characterization, cosplay outfit and posture: [link] lfc_SHp-wg&feature=related

As for Mello's singing range, I actually figure he's a baritone, judging by how deep his speaking voice is. Now NEAR could probably pull off soprano...although "soprano" is technically used to classify female voices. The male version is countertenor.

Did you ever go to "fear factor" birthday parties?
From where I came from, the trend started after my Harry Potter themed birthday party, where me made potions. I had lemon juice, milk, coolwhip.. among various other things. We had to drink it after. It was grossss. XD
So, my ego tells me I started the trend. ^^
