Description
Inked version of Note of the Dead , which won first place in the ~WammyBoysClub2 DVD "Remake" contest last night in its pencil form!
In the inked version, more detail has been added, several sloppily-drawn things (e.g. Gevanni's left hand) have been re-drawn, and last but certainly not least, the five more gory zombies AND a certain Wammy boy now have RED ON THEM.
I don't think some blood spatters that aren't even red in the inked version warrant rating this "mature", though.
All characters are from the Death Note anime/manga or the Death Note novel; they do not belong to me, I just borrowed them and zombified most of them.

Matt's being cool, Near looks like he's enjoying this immensly (I also knew the little guy was gonna lose it eventually), Mello and L seem to be the only ones grasping the severity of their situation. O_O ZOMBIES!?

Wow! It's amazing how well it cleared up in inks. Matt's expression is awesomesauce as always - he looks so swishy here! And I don't think I've ever described someone as "swishy" before. Mikami, BB and Misa also came out well - I like Misa's crazed eyes! Very nicely done. (Decided to go more in depth than my "ZOMG ISS EPIC" last time XD)

Well, I've got to say I love this picture. I love the transference from shovel to Gershey's chocolate bar and how each of the other Wammy boys have got something special with them, Near with his rubber duck and Matt with his cigarette.
The expressions on the Wammy boys are exceptional and L's is the best, it's almost as if he's reaching some kind of conclusion, (Probably as to how the became zombies, I don't know) And the prodigies desperately trying to fend them off. Mello's expression I understand, but Matt and Near's I can't exactly place.
I assume Near has the smile because he's got the blood as well, (Making me reach the conclusion that he is one of the zombies), Matt's is a little harder to place, is i t because it's just like one of his video games? I don't know, I guess I'll jsut have to wait for your answer.
And now, unfortunately for the criticism, which I don't really want to do, but for a piece that would otherwise be perfect I think it needs doing. The flaw I am pointing out is only my opinion, but the expressions on the zombies' faces are less that of the mindless undead, but those of psychotic madmen obsessed in the final moments before the kill. Other than this, the piece is flawless in my mind.
P.S the criticism is not to be mistaken as to me not liking the faces of the zombies, I just took a different interpretation.

I can explain Matt's and Near's expressions. 
Matt's smirking because Zombie!Mikami seems grossed-out by the smoke from his cigarette, and this keeps him away so Matt's confident he's in control of the situation.
I see you caught the "Gershey's" title on the bar!

I'd forgotten all about the pen incident in the original movie, (Just shows I need to watch it again.)
Thankyou for explaining the gaps in my understanding of the picture, though I can't exactly see what a rubber duck could be useful for against zombies even though I can see chocolate bar and definately ciggarette.
Any zombie would be scared of a cigarette, fire solves everything, so I guess I should've spotted that. I didn't notice the whole assigned zombie attacks either *facepalm*, I should look closer into pictures.
It's also nice to hear that I provided an unthought of perspective to the picture, and that you didn't mind the criticism, I was worrying what the reply was going to be.

Don't feel bad--I throw trivia like the assigned zombie attacks in there so that people can learn new things about the same pic if they look at it more than once.

Oh, I knew what kind of hungry you had in mind, but hungry in general works for zombies. There's always zombie p0rno for the "other" kind of hungry. XD; (And yes, it exists...I have a book about zombie movies that reviews them, and the highest-rated ones sound...quite disturbing. o.o; )
