Habitat and range: West-Antarctic plains, South Georgia Islands
One might be a tad confused about the presence of Reindeer, an Arctic animal, in the Antarctic. Throughout the 20th century and again in the 23rd century, sailors have been attempting to introduce these wild deer to the Antarctic islands, with numerous failures and even an amazing success followed by a complete eradication. Evidently, the dream remained alive long enough to be successful, as the descendants of these Reindeer, the Parstags, are an integral part of the Antarctican ecosystem. One such example is the Crested Parstag, named for its magnificent arched antlers. There is not too much to note about this specific species asides from their regal appearance and their role in the ecosystem. They are a staple prey of many predators, such as Crocottas, Antarctican Devils, Noiverns, and particularly large White-eyed Carnguins.
