GIF of a transformation animation in my other game, Incarnasoul. The character art used is AI generated, but I'm happy with the animation effect - I wanted to mimic the warping/shifting style I am sure I saw used in some old games, and after a bunch of fiddling with a shader this is the result. It varies randomly each time, so although the same kind of warping effect happens it looks different (which I think is nice )
