Description
3 in the morning.Ticking on the wall.
Dreaming sounds so sweet.
But I’m still waiting for the call.
Telling stories, telling lies.
Books of passing pages.
Falling asleep, falling down
I’ve missed you for ages.
In my dream I see your face.
And I hear your laugh too.
I wish I could sleep forever.
And be forever stuck with you.
Trees tall as the skies,
Water clear as mirrors.
Lying in the sun together
Nothing can touch us while we’re here.
Night falls in this dreamland.
And fireflies come to play.
I cling to your hand suddenly
Afraid of the sun and the coming day.
You touch my face, and look in me.
Tell me it’s ok.
I latch onto your shirt, scared to let go.
Peeling me off, “Maybe another day.”
Waking up, groggy and numb
My hand prickles from the chill
Opening blinds for the sun to peek in,
I sigh, wishing I was dreaming still.
