"One does not simply walk into Mordor." - Boromir

That's right, folks. Boromir is in my AU. So he dies from his wounds like usual, but not before proclaiming Aragorn as king of Gondor. Thousands of years pass when his spirit meets an ancient warrior brreathing his last breath, who warns him of dangerous enemies that threaten to destroy the world and bestows Boromir a blessing, which resurrects Boromir and grants him immortality and various powers. However, Boromir questions why he was chosen, to which the warrior told him that he had a strong heart, incredible devotion, and the goal to protecting people. Remembering his life and his goal back then, which was to protect Gondor and its people, Boromir realized that he had a second chance to protect people. However, Boromir also knew that times had changed and things were no longer the same. Eventually adapting to the modern world, Boromir became a guardian for innocent people and formed friendships. Boromir knew the real task at hand. And unlike what he did back then, he wasn't going to let his fear get the better of him again and make him do a wrong choice.
