Description Meet Isaac, Jacob and Maria's grandpa-in-law and Baseball Hall-of-Famer. Born in St Louis, Missouri on January 1st, 1944, Isaac Balor came from a family of Irish-Americans and was the most smartest of the family. In fact, he was so smart he graduated at the age of 15. He was followed by Cardinals scouts who offered him a contract to play for his hometown Cardinals. Isaac accepted the offer and was signed up. After stunning his teammates with his insane hitting abilities, Isaac was immediately placed on the starting lineup. He debuted with a bang, smacking two home runs and stealing five bases while playing flawlessly at third base. Isaac was compared to Brooks Robinson because of how great both men were at their position. Known for his kindness and goodhearted nature, as well being a great power hitter, Isaac was dubbed "The Babe Ruth of St Louis". Isaac slugged his way to four NL pennants, following three to World Series wins and hit a baffling 748 home runs in his 22 year career with the Cardinals. After retiring from baseball as a player, Isaac became a batting coach for the Cardinals from 1983 to 1999, during which he was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1988 with a 97.6% first ballot. In 2000, he became co-manager and helped lead the Cardinals to four more pennants and two more World Series wins before stepping down from the manager role so that he could spend time with his family. Although no longer holding a job, Isaac remains a strong supporter for the Cardinals. In 2014, his number 19 was retired by St Louis and he was inducted into the Cardinals Hall of Fame. Isaac's 306 triples is second on the all-time list and he owns several other records. Beloved by many fans, especially children, Isaac did his best to support the community and made many people happy. Although his age slowly began to creep up on him, Isaac continued to support the Cardinals franchise from the comfort of the home of his daughter-in-law.
