So here he is at long last, painted, finished and photographed hanging in a gallery.

I went for a very realistic look of dying, waterlogged tree. The trenches in the bark have a glossy sheen as of trickling water achieved by painting in 3 layers of clear plastic resin. The bark itself is painted, also in 3 layers of different tones ranging from a black base coat to light tan and mahogany brown highlights.
