Uh Oh! Something Has Gone Wrong!Given that there was recently an Eclipse, why not post some art of a certain someone of the same name? x'D Seems fitting!
Honestly given my Sun/Moon brainrot it was only a matter of time before I drew this dude too. And I won't lie, I actually had a lot of fun with it! xD I'm especially proud of the pants, they give me the vibe of like shooting stars. And I think that's pretty nifty.
Now it's headcanon time, here we go! xD
"Eclipse", in my interpretation, is actually the result of a malfunction. The Daycare Attendant was designed with two modes; Daytime (Sun), and Nighttime (Moon), which could easily be switched between once a certain light (or lack there of) threshold was met. The problem began when Strobe Lights were introduced. Their body was bombarded with switch commands to the point where it just... well, it broke.And they ended up stuck somewhere in-between Day and Night mode.
So in a way Eclipse is both Sun and Moon, and also neither of them. Becoming a strange amalgamation of the two AIs. Eclipse only existed for a little while before their system completely crashed, due to not being equipped to handle both AIs being active at the same time.
And ever since then, a type of "Grace Period" was implemented, therefore preventing Eclipse from happening again.
But, if somehow someway Eclipse was brought out again and stabilized, I imagine they would have a very disoriented and confused demeanor. The two AIs would be conflicting with one another, causing Eclipse to be . I don't see them being malicious or evil in any way, but they could definitely be a little... off-putting. :'D
But who knows? Sun and Moon don't hate each other, and maybe with some time and practice, Eclipse could become somewhat stable and actually develop a personality all their own. ^^
Though for the time being, Eclipse is just regarded as a slight technical glitch. :'D
Overall, I think there's a lot of potential with Eclipse!
So there's a good chance I'll be drawing them again in the future, alongside Sun and Moon of course. But the general gist for their design is a fusion of Sun and Moon's designs, and a few extra little quirks due to being, y'know, a malfunction. x'D Honestly, I really like it! So I hope you guys do too! <3
Feeling a bit under the weather atm so I'm gonna try to take it easy, but I should be back with more art next week! ;3
