Out all of the clans these two were the closest, due to being similar in culture and also mutual hatred for other clans. Which means they had the highest chance to form alliance though they might still kill each other after that.

The two chieftains were the reason why the alliance was renewed and stronger than ever. Both had their parents died during the young age which made them vulnerable to others whose desire was to claim the leader title
Sadly, unlike Lobo, Tigus was the only child and he was easily defeated, beaten and thrown in the glacier.
The Fenrir family coincidentally saved Tigus from dying. Lobo and Tigus became somewhat friends after that and Lobo accompanied Tigus to his trip back home, helping him reclaim his birthright.
In return, Tigus made peace with the Canidea and made them ally
