Finally managed to get this thing installed and mostly stable... it took several tries to be able to work out how to make it activate legally after a fully clean install on a freshly formatted drive. All in all I'm happy with this OS so far (ads kinda suck in some apps, but at least they are out of the way and inside settings menus usually) and the new Start menu interface is reasonable. I still prefer Windows 7... but such is progress I spose... and hey, it's free.

FYI, be sure when you install, and after it's installed, you locate and turn off all the features that may hinder your privacy. (at least the ones they let us see) There's only a couple lower end features of that sort you need on to not break the Microsoft Store or some app operations. Of course there's no way around it, if you want a more private Windows version yer gonna have to stay with Windows 7 for as long as possible. lol
