Description
A tribute to the most important actor in modern American cinema.I was inspired to do this suddenly, once I realised that in the advanced drawing class I will be taking next year, the students would be required to do a portrait. I decided to make mine now, and I knew exactly who the subject would be.
I got most of this done in one night, about two and a half hours worth of time. The next two days were just occasional touch-ups, signing it, and adding the title (plus a lot of showing off
Leave it to the scanner to kill the overall look. I mostly fixed it up in Photoshop, but there are still a few issues. The next portrait I do will be Bruce Lee, done with charcoal instead of graphite.
TOOLS USED:
#2 mechanical pencil, 0.7mm lead for lines
ΒΌ" tortillon for shading
8B drawing pencil for hair and suit
