Description
This is Shiro, a character for a comic/game concept I've had for about a year or two called "Pigment of Imagination". Most of the plot is fleshed out in my head, but I don't have a lot down on paper so aspects of the characters are subject to change. **Just current backstory, not too important!**
To many locals in the town of Pigment Point, the myth of a magical creature in the woods is nothing but an urban legend. It was a ridiculous tale told only to keep rowdy children away from local woods, or just another wild story to be shared around the campfire. But this creature is more than just a legend, and a few young teens are about to find out the true scope of why this strange story has stuck around this small town for so many years.
Shiro is more than just your average lion, if a lion could be something average you find in the suburbs of the state of New Jersey. Around his neck, he wears a mysterious necklace that gives him mastery over the various elements that control the basis of this world's reality. These elements used to be commonplace throughout the world, but many years ago, its knowledge was erased from humanity’s consciousness. There are 6 main elements, three of them being fire, water, and electricity, and each of them are associated with a primary or secondary color. When a power is in use, Shiro's mane and tail gain the properties of their respective element.
Until recently, Shiro believed that he was the only being left that was able to control these powers, and he took it upon himself to dawn the responsibility as the last living being of magic. He was a loner for as long as he can remember, and with the rest of the town doubting his existence, he intended to keep it that way. However, in a strange turn of events, he finds that three young humans have not only discovered his existence, but that they too possess the fabled magic powers. With his whole world view turned upon his head, Shiro has to come to terms that these children, completely unfamiliar with their powers, could be his last chance on finding out where the world's magic had disappeared too. It won't be an easy task, teaching these three annoying teens as well as fighting an ever increasing number of monsters, but he is determined to regain his purpose in this world.
