Description
The standard armored personnel carrier of R-FORCE, the APC-40 Guard can carry a full squad of 12 infantrymen onboard with both a rearward clamshell door as well as two smaller clamshell doors on the sides of the vehicle for fast entry and exit. Although it only comes with a CROWS mount (shown here with a rotary heavy machine railgun), the vehicle possesses 8 fireports on the sides of the vehicle that allow some of the occupants to fire out of the vehicle. The fireports themselves posses energy shields to protect the engaging occupant as well as quick deploy armored shutters to seal the vehicle from the outside. To help dismounted infantry further, the Guard possesses both a semi-spherical type energy shield as well as two onboard medical regenerator units. As an added bonus, the Guard possesses thruster units for sudden boosts of speed, a trait that many Guard drivers take advantage of to use the vehicle as a massive battering ram.
