"Let me down, Discord!" Maria yelled at him as she held onto him, both of them flying over the crumbling hallway. "I know you'll do something once I turn my back on you! Either you let me down now or I'll slice you up!"
"Oh, sure!" Discord said in disdain, turning to glare at her, "Why don't we do that? I let you down with that blood hungry energy vampire and that insane flower-of-youth dependent woman, without your gem no less, and let them tare you limb from limb and serve your table scraps of a corpse to their pets."
Maria only gritted her teeth, she couldn't deny that what he said was the truth. She didn't have her gem, he had it wherever he stashed it, and it would take an eternity to find it. "I figured as much... Now, be a good girl and shut up. We don't have much time..."
"... Fine!" she muttered. "Why are you sparing my life from them?! You want to kill me yourself or torture me to get to Celestia and Luna?"
Discord could only growl, "Why does everyone think I am here to aid those miscreant, power hungry tyrants for revenge against Celestia and Luna?!" the anger in his voice surprised her. "I am doing this to help you, you inconsiderate little twit!"
Help? Help her? No, this has to be a trick!
"I don't believe you..." she said angrily.
"That makes two of us."
