well, it's just that the DD's I've seen are for pictures that have been up for actually a good number of years and for Da to finally get around to crowning the image as a DD. This one has been up ever since last year (Dec 27, 2009) And it went through a whole year before it got the dd

(Im not the person you're replying to) I submitted a feature request of a beautiful underwater photo of an orca (shot by someone, not me of course) about the same time DA started to feature DailyDeviations . . . I have yet to see that picture being featured

Have you re-suggested it to GMs since? Seeing as it's been many, many years with many, many GMs passing through, you've missed many an opportunity for it to be seen if you haven't.
Not every suggestion a GM receives will be featured - I get somewhere around 20 times more suggestions than I can feature - so it's worth sending it on to someone else.
What I meant by the original question was you don't have any right to complain about something not being DDd earlier if you haven't suggested it yourself. If you have, complain away but persevere

Absolutely love this (as well as so many of your other works--you're definitely one of my favorite contemporary artists, up there with Mark Ryden and James Jean.) Wish I was in your part of the country so I could attend a show!
