Grey and white and blackshadows of colors that lack
constant waves that wear me down
clear and high so no sky is found
i lay in the grass
as i watch it pass
alone in my mind
i am the last of my kind
higher and higher
closer and closer
rushing and screaming
is it human or is it nature?
water reaches out to me
tendrils of false life
i close my eyes
fight against the dark
voices batter my mind
memories tear at my soul
the last of my kind
no one wants to stand by my side
But there are others in my mind
Shadows of entities that are real
real people that worry
my words begin to stumble
my mind becomes jumbled
shame washes over me
making me take too much
overwhelming me
​as i sit in a chair
and think its not fair
for i speak in a tongue
of confidence and fright
everything is alright
and everything is so wrong
i gaze upward through my sea
and wonder whats wrong with me
