Well, it has been a year since Steve passed away.
wow...a year.... :/
Yesterday Animal Planet made an 8 hours special of his best show episodes. I watched some memorable ones
Watching preservation programs is not as fun as used to be....T-T
But as long as there are good preservers around the world, I'm glad enough.
I sure miss that guy....

Steve Irwin was one of my favorite life preservers.
I was pretty much shocked and sad with the news that he passed away today.
His show was a real inspiration for me and more than that, I admired his genuine Enthusiasm!
I believe most of people that don't understand his passion probably are thinking things like: "He was mortal after all...."
He wasn't proving that he was better than animals nor anything like it! It was about respect.
And with his death it can be proved that life is unpredictable! Being killed by the sting of a stingray! The most uncertain animal to be killed by...
I'm pretty sure Steve took all the precautions but somethings....simply happen!
And I'm mostly proud of him because he lived each day of his life with the same enthusiams he always had! Not only for the show, but for his family and friends!
Amen for that!
And yeah....Crocs rules, Steve! And you too!

This is quite touching. Steve shall be greatly missed. The news of his death saddened me beyond words.
To think, too, that he has 2 children, one of them is only 2 years old! I appreciate your doing this in memory of him.

Maybe the stingray was the most uncertain animal to be killed by... but saddly it was his time
At least he died doing what he really loved... And yes, I'm also sad... he was only 44 so he had a lot to live...
But I'm sure, wherever is he, he'll be still watching all his "babies" (his children and his loved animals).

As a Australian and Queenslander, I have always seen him as a hero to my country. I mean sure I did make a odd joke or too about him becuase of his excentric personality but I never hated him. The Australian Zoo was swamped with people giving out flowers and cards. His giving to the environment will not be forgotten and he will live on through his family, friends and fans.

Steve was a person who I admired for his commitment to his cause and for his ongoing enthusiasm...he will be sorely missed.....If he was here and could see just how much he ment to everyone, he would surely be touched. It's a great picture by the way....

That's just poor form. What's the saying, if you having nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all.
If you ARE serious about a stingray being included in the picture, I at least think you could have put it a lot more tactfully

And you know? Even though there are a lot of people who made fun of him saying he was dumb or that he harassed animals, he never ever let it get him down or even mention it on the show. I have so much respect for him. I wish I could have known him or at least met him when he was alive....
