What an amazing range of emotion. She looks like she is holding on to that statue with almost desperate love and faith, but then you have the angry looking dog in the background, man, what a shot.
Its like it shows the range of emotions ranging from blinding faith, to primal rage.

I don't know why, but your photo made me feel at first 'careful', then the light within the woman made me see 'humour'! Well, then the dog in the background, it had me fill with such 'joy'! I laughed, but settled down as I was seeing this holy figure so tightly held, and cherished....ummmm .

I love how the old woman is so close up that shes just in your face but when you turn to the dog its kindah spooky though the statue of the virgin mary sets it all nicely.

at first glance, its the woman with the Mary figure..but after looking for more than just a moment the dog barking with vicious eyes is revealed, making this photo so much more enhanced and meanIngful.
