*Sees the new HTTYD show designs*
*Sees other people redesigning the dragons*
Well, I’m not missing this. So, I saw the new designs for HTTYD: The Nine Realms and… well I think they could have done a little better with the dragon designs. No hate on the show designers, but the dragon designs are a little underwhelming considering the past HTTYD shows like RTTE or D/RoB. And since other people are redesigning the dragons, I decided to throw my hat into the ring.

I tried to make thunder look more like a Lightfury with some vague Nightfury traits, for example turning down the black markings drastically and changing of the tail thing to look more like a mixture between Nightfuries and Lightfuries. Since Thunder’s bio (the Nightlight in the show) says he’s a direct descendent of Toothless, I made him look a little bit more Nightfury-like then probably most of the other Nightlights do.

I might redesign what the other dragons in the show look like too, and despite what I said above, I am going to watch the show. HTTYD was my childhood, and I kind of want to see where the series is going. Again, this isn’t in any spite towards the show or its creators, I just saw a lot of people redesigning the dragons, and I wanted to try my hand at it too.
