It's actually very easy for trained gymnasts (like Gwen) to twist their spine to this extent, maybe even a little further.

But if Gwen was twisting like 180 degrees, yeah, that's a lil' weird.

The problem with that example though is she has support (in the floor) to help her turn further and you also can't see the entirety of her boobs and butt, unlike the drawing where she has no support at all and is twisting like that in freefall with both her torso and butt in full view of the "camera".Β Β It's done for sexualization and I doubt the artist would deny it (as evidenced by this trained gymnast flouncing about without a sports bra), you don't have to excuse it.Β
