Wow! Here's a LEGO creation I made a few years ago after digging through some buckets of bricks. I wish I had some pictures from other angles, but unfortunately it was disassembled a while back. I posted this on my LEGO.com profile with the following description:

"The phantom mantis is a giant insect that stands an average of eight feet. It makes its home in dense jungles, and members of this species prefer to live in large groups of their own kind. Although it has few natural predators, the mantis is a master of camouflage, and can seemingly disappear into the undergrowth in order to evade danger. Phantom mantis are carnivorous, and although they are usually solitary hunters, several may work together to take down larger prey."

So according to my younger self, you wouldn't want to run into one of these in the park. If they're eight feet tall, I don't wanna know what "larger prey" might be!

I've got a lot of other LEGO stuff around, though, so I'll be posting some of those soon!
