Hmm da really needs some sorta WIP section...Pictured is my new bot in default pose, and a lil bit more creative on the right
Umm I still have to rig his fingers, and add pupils.
Then i gotta give him some groovey matreials, so please put some good colour/material suggestions in your comments

Timbo your model is very funny.. I like the total expression.
To tell the thrut I don't like only the hand... there are too big, also for a deformed character.
Anyway well done!

Hee hee, like the character. Personally I think the hands can work so long as maybe you make the fingers thinner and spread them out a little. As for being clumsy, maybe you could play on that in any animation you do? Make it is character. You know, character by name, character by nature. However I may be talking rubbish as I haven't made any full on characters yet!

great job so far... i'd say some nice oranges and whites for materials... but the hips bother me... look to clunky and don't fit well with this model... gotta give me some tips on c 4 d... check my gallery for deviations

I will give suggestions because.
1. I have my opinions
2. Every WIP needs any comments however lame to get an idea of what people like.
3. You asked for it.
The whole model is very good...I like the simplicity and cuteness it has (yeah I am a guy and yes It is sorta cute). The hands I think look too clumsy though...If you are going to animate it I would give yourself room to make the hands bend properly. They just look very awkward like trying to pick something up with a cd in the palm of your hand. Materials and textures should be quite easy...Stick to the stereo typical I guess.
Stainless steel / shiny for things that could be easily made from metal (like rims,balls,bolts) and plastic/fiberglass/paint on anything that cant be...or is made of steel (So it wont rust).

Looks great...Feels a bit more different then the usual robot stuff I see...He looks more cartoonish....
Think he should be a bit more darkish,grainy look over him...Or maybe gold/dark yellow or something...

This is definateley amoungst the coolest 3D work 've seen here. Awsome character design, especially the proportions. Reminds me of one of those awsome little me from all the Tool music viedeos. I really like the pose on the right and the backround colour. I won't give you any suggestions becuase you are obviously doing just fine on your own! + FAV!
