well there is a lot involed for one replay. but first I downloaded pepakure desinger can be found by googleing it, its free. then go to the 405th.com and you can get alot of tips there. also google "halo costume wiki" there are files there for all the pepakura armor download them and print them on cardstock, cut out and put together. then fiberglass them paint, now obviously there is a lot of detail in between that I can explain in one response so if you do decide to make a suit ask me the questions as you go, but if you really do your research on the 405th you should be fine. goodluck

i want to make my own halo armor, but i'm a little lost in how to (mats and stuff) i want to make it our of the cheapest mats but i want it to look really good, any thoughts?

make it out of card stock using pepakura then fiberglass and bondo it those materials are cheap and can be found at wal-mart. you can download all the files here [link] you will need pepakura designer which is also free go here
[link] the hard part is making sure you print the patterns to the right size let me know if you need any more info but I found every question I had at [link] the answers are there.

optimus was all made with cardboard its was trial and error cutting out the pieces and putting it together like a puzzle, there is a pic in my gallery of some shot of building it if that helps

A great job on this latest costume. If it were me taking the photo I'd use a neutral color, like a blue-gray or a reddish-brown, but then again I'm an artist that dabbles in writing stories with a hobby in taking photographs.
