Some backstory on this...the statue shows a young lady in period attire semi-nude. This is because the original model or maquette was done as a complete nude with the sculptor later clothing it in clay accessories and canvas or muslin dipped in clay bisque. As he created the maquette, he decided it looked better as a semi-nude.
