Yes the tree does look out of place, but only coz it's the wrong colour! Your hills are blue yet the tree is black I think those hills need something - maybe a bit of shade brushing - If they have that kind of detail (the white lines) then they are certain to have a bit of shading in white where the moonlight hits them, and black where there is the total absence of light! You need to start experimenting with the "noise" style of starfield. Here is a tute by Alyn [link] . Enjoy.
