Description
Monophytes or Monophyta are a phylum of Chesmian plants found all over the non-desert regions of Chesmo but especially in open fields. They appear like single leaves sticking out of the ground and can be anywhere between 20 micrometers to 20 meters tall. Most use wind pollination which explains why so many species of monophyte prefer open areas.

Some species can be made into flour and even alcohol for Azdov consumption and are often introduced to planets that Azdoves colonize.
