Decided to flesh out my version of the Green Ghost, Argus C. Renalds and give my demon baby a face~

Although his true form is unknown, Argus frequently takes on the form (and name) of the last human he possessed. Born in 1899, Argus Christopher Renalds was a musician and composer who, at the age of 22, was getting ready for a full time career as an orchestra conductor at a local theater when his friends decided to play with supernatural things. Initially contacted through a Ouija board, the specter that would become known as the Green Ghost, thrilled the party with its clever words and childish antics. However those antics would take an unexpected turn when the ghost finds a new home in the heart of the young musician. Soon, Argus’s pride as an orchestral conductor transforms into a jealous possessiveness of the orchestra and its members, leading to his dismissal and replacement as the theater orchestral conductor. Furious, Argus left the town and everyone in it without a second glance. It wasn’t long after that he succumbed to the spirit inside him and remained under its power until his early death in 1928.

His body was found in a cavern with a message scrawled on an old piece of sheet music.

“God Save me from My Sins. I am Lost.

"God Save this Wandering Spirit. I am Lost.

"The Demon has won and the Devil takes me.

"I am lost, Lord, save my soul!”

Whether or not he took his own life remains unknown, but there is little doubt as that the lyrics of his final song refer back to that day long ago when he first encountered his unsavory demon.
