Ability Notes/Weaknesses:

While he has no qualms about using his physical abilities in a humanoid form (such as using his tar in various ways), he must be extremely careful about using his mind-based abilities in said form as to not be discovered or his true identity to be revealed.
Mind-based abilities do not work against robots, the mindless (zombies and the like), or those with strong, confident minds.
Mind-based abilities only work if he can see whoever he’s planning to use them on.
Mind-based abilities are more efficient against unstable, depressed, or anxious targets. It takes a hot minute to “break” those with stronger minds.
These abilities also work better the more he knows about a target. It is easier for him to dig around in a target’s mind for insecurities the more unstable they are.
He is not a god, nor is he a demi-god, he is just very old and very good at what he does. However you could unload a few dozen bullets into his head and kill him all the same.

What is a Nightmare Lord?:

Nightmare Lords are Seven dark entities that originate from the Nightmare Realm, a realm parallel to reality and imagination. It is like an exact copy of reality, except it is mangled, distorted, and rotten. The Nightmare Lords inhabit this land, but they are also imprisoned by it, unable to leave its boundaries for very long. Therefore they search tirelessly for a remedy to expand this hellish realm, no matter what the price may be…

Originally, all seven Lords were a single entity known as Negentraphia. After this entities great fall, its heart split apart and its contents flowed out into the realm of despair it was thrust into. These contents formed into the Seven Lords, Entrophia, Dominantur, Sonaitus, Incognious, Xeluneth, Libidine, and Dentegula, and corrupted the world around them into the Nightmare Realm. These dark entities corrupt and feast on the dreams and minds of others in reality, allowing themselves to grow and power and expand their realm and validate their existence. Typically, they can only do this when their target is sleeping or if they can see them directly. But due to most contestants in the HQ being in literal comas, they have no struggle on this front. They do these things by learning everything about a person they plan to feast off of, physically, psychologically, and emotionally because they want them in as compromised a position as possible as to feed off the growing the imbalance of nightmares, fear, and disorder.
Unfortunately, most people cannot survive heavily extended sessions of this, so they are frequently looking for new targets.

The only way a Nightmare Lord can exist normally outside of the Nightmare realm for longer than three days is to take a host, otherwise known as a “Sleep Walker”. By breaking someone fully, as so that they can no longer fight against the fingers poking and prodding at their minds, a Nightmare Lord can implant themselves in their targets mind as use their body as a vessel and anchor to reality.

Due to their newfound interest in the Dreamcatcher HQ and its residents, the inevitable imbalance of Dreams and Nightmares is soon to rear its ugly head…
