Description I'll probably make a second deviation describing the game or mini-game mini-mode in full detail, but basically here is the concept roughdraft:
You play as a puffball called Edge in a game where you climb to the far reaches of outer space. This, however, is no ordinary game play mode. This version of the game is (hypothetically) made entirely in the programming language called Piet, and the program (or picture used for the program) is tucked away in a neat and tidy spot. Meaning: You have to look at the screen's printed letters and symbols for clues as to your surroundings! Your gameplay is half-blind-- literally!
You look around and find that your character is always surrounded by an aura of definite locatability right on the screen. Okay. So you have that. And you have a weapon too. You try it out for a bit (or your cutscene version does), and you find that that, too, is easily decipherable. It appears to be a wall. You take your character on an epic quest as it points upward, visibly so... you think... to reclaim... something... hey, she is not that popular and I skipped some lore; if you don't know now, why would you know in this story I am telling?; cry about it. (But not for too long... this is a safe place for all people after all... my profile.)
Skip ahead one to many rounds, depending on how many are made in this style, and Edge starts fighting a boss. She starts smacking the 'screen' with her wall; smashing the overseeing eye, trying really hard to choose when to take a hit and when to try to dodge, until... ????????
