So, I have recently read The Cursed Child. - Spoilerish drag ahead -

I have a couple of things to say. First of all, I didn’t particularly like it, but I expected nothing from it, so it was nearly imposible for me to be dissappointed . I’d save some things though, but I don’t mean to make a review here.

That being said, let’s move to the obvious point. Scorbus. Scorbus, people. What the writers had in mind regarding Albus and Scorpius is a mystery, but there’s no wonder a big part of the fans are upset. It almost seems they wrote their relationship to cause exactly that reaction on people.
I have to say I never ever shipped Albus and Scorpius before in my life during all the years that have passed since the last book came out. I actually liked the idea of Scorpius and Rose fancying each other, to be honest. But, let’s be fair. Albus and Scorpius are so gay in The Cursed Child that it is hard to handle at times. They are so gay for each other, it seems so obvious to me, that it really doesn’t matter that in the play is specified they both like other people (women, specifically). Because it’s like: “I fancy Rose, I asked her out”. “Ok. Now let’s go make out under that tree”. As simple as that. (Although I have to say the Rose part seems quite forced and ridiculous).

It would be very surprising that the main characters of a Harry Potter play were a gay couple, so I can’t say I’m dissappointed in that sense. And I’m not sure if people should be mad because it’s not canon, or thankful for the way their relationship actually is in the story. For me, Albus and Scorpius are so gay for each other in this story, SO gay (did I say gay yet?), and that not being canon forces me to take it out my system.

So have some Scorbus doodles wether you like it or not : P
