Hahaha, laziest background EVER, for real. I wanted to have a nice field of white flowers around them, but ah, the hassle. I couldn't loathe drawing backgrounds more if I actively tried to.

Celes and Terra, from Final Fantasy VI, as I see them in my mind. I do understand that Celes in particular is diverging a lot from the concept art of the game; however, from her actual part in the story, I say the armor suits her just fine. She's a knight, a seasoned warrior, once a general of armies - she couldn't hope to lead her soldiers without donning the same plate as they did, as I see it. Light armor doesn't cut it - I've always seen her cased in steel.

And Terra. Strong, sweet, impossible-not-to-love Terra. She is just a girl despite everything she's been through, and that's what makes her wonderful. I took a bit from her decorations - too flashy, too colorful. She's tamer, calmer, in my view.

You can see their pose romantically - I know I did - or simply as two women seeking support on one another at difficult times. Besides the kid pictomancer whose name I've completely forgotten, there are no other women on the 14-character party of FF6 - I sincerely believe these two would turn to each other for comfort when things got too harsh, too ugly. Maybe they'd remind each other of how to be caring and pleasant without ever losing their edge.

I still gotta improve one universe or two, but I rather like this one.

AND GODDAMNIT WHY DIDN'T I USE SAI BEFORE?
