Description SO...MANY...ET'S....at first you thought you were alone in the galaxy. Now its too crowded. XD

Anyway, quite a selection today, all from the game Ascendancy, so let's check 'em out.

------

PSA: In Eccentrix-Verse canon, all living beings have ki/life energy. They can draw it out to produce different abilities. Most of the time, it's something relatively easy like telepathy/telekinesis. Although some alien races are capable of doing some pretty spectacular stuff with it!

------

The Chamachies - The Chamachies are pretty easy to figure out. Their schtick is that they've produced some of THE best technological researchers and inventors the galaxy can find. Literally decades ahead of many races in their galactic neighborhood. As it turns out, this was spurred by a super-advanced alien vessel which had crashed into their home planet in the recent past. The aliens on board warned them that a convergence of "Star Lanes" may very well destroy their planet some time in the future. This is the event that sparked an interest in space exploration, and discover how to travel among the stars. Especially something known as the "Star Lane Phenomena", which involves wormholes or sumshit like that. Mainly the goal is to either relocate their race or possibly avert the disaster altogether!

Anyway, the Chamachies have produced some great researchers, which have been able to discover major breakthroughs under duress. Stress tends to heighten their abilities, whatever they may be. And THIS is basically what fueled such a huge surge of technological advancement. Basically knowing it'll happen but not knowing when, they pretty much went into overdrive mode and advanced unbelievably. Making them REALLY close to figuring out that answer.

The Ungooma - These guys are good at mind control. And they're microscopic. Sooo...

OK! The Ungooma were a race of microscopic brain parasites which used to take control of their hosts' minds to serve their own needs. That used to be their only method for sentience. But later on down the line, they became sentient on their own terms. While they can no longer take over a host, they can conglomerate together by the trillions and form a massive, powerful hive mind. With the power they accumulate, many Ungooma collectives can group together and use their strength altogether to temporarily mind-control a population of people, that can number from the thousands, to millions, and even BILLIONS. The said victims of their mind control having their minds wiped if they're overly aggressive. They do this because the Ungooma's military might is actually sub-par in comparison to their neighbors, but only because they often don't need to use weapons when they can simply mind-wipe a population of aggressive people, and have them fight against other aggressors. It's surprising how effective it is.

The Kambuchka - These guys look like alien ham sandwiches. They look funny because they're actually gas-giant aliens!

They feel atomic vibrations of their surroundings to know things. They can't move very fast, but they CAN detect living beings that are far away, which helps them find food or avoid predators. And with this same ability, they've evolved the ability to detect sentient life from across space! This makes them aware of just about anything going on in AND out of their solar system. They don't have any limbs or hands, so to compensate, they have much larger stores of ki than usual, since they use it for pretty much everything. They manifest it as telekinesis to teleport, grab things, or build ships to leave their home planet with. They're also good telepaths, being able to easily communicate with other races with telepathy since they don't exactly have much in the way of biology that could feasibly produce vocal communication.

The Baliflids - The terragen (from Earth) species known as the Balifids are right next to the Ungooma in terms of being able to avoid battles they can't fight very well. In this case, they spend their energy/ki using an ability that's made them known as one of the galaxy's best diplomat races: they can tranquilize aggresive races. Absolutely no exceptions. Whether it's the Minions, Shevar, Frutmaka, Fludentri....nothing is spared from their influence. In their eyes, when they encounter a Balifid, and sees it just standing there giving it a playful stare...the said aggressor almost invariably doesn't feel like attacking them anymore. Together with the Ungooma, which can use that opportunity to mind-wipe them to make them forget why they attacked. They make some of the best aggressive-race tranquilizers and are pretty high in demand from the Galactic Community as Peacekeepers. Emphasis on Peace.

Many Baliflids are raised in a very light-hearted environment. Unlike many other races, they are lead by, raised by, and work alongside by fellows who simply like to goof around. Baliflids in general enjoy not having to take life as seriously as other people, because come ON. There's a whole Universe out there! Have FUN for chrissakes!

The Hanshaks - These guys are ANCIENT. They've gone through so many biological changes throughout the span of time that they've lived, which is probably about a billion years old at this point. Probably older. But they've seen a LOT at this point. The Hanshaks are a bit rarer than other races, but that's mostly because they reached their technological peak millions of years ago. A good portion of them decided to simply dismantle their cities and return to living with nature after so long, and they're dedicating to keeping it that way. Aside from a druidic cult that retains knowledge of their hyper-advanced technology, which they just use to travel around space in.

Hanshaks are naturally good at harnessing ki powers, and have discovered several good uses for it. Including a fusing technique that fuses two Hanshaks into one toroidal being that can produce a LOT of ki, and use it for mass-telepathy with multiple races at once. Or a ki technique which makes weapons of all sorts malfunction in the vicinity of their home planet, making it literally IMPOSSIBLE to wage war of any sort there. The Hanshak home planet is a safe haven for almost any race. Team Milky Way. THIS is the direction you should strive for.

The Minions - They used to be an Always Chaotic Evil Race. This was because they were created by some extragalactic master race who built these guys in an effort to destroy all sentient life in the galaxy and prepare it for the return of their masters. Eons ago, these guys were feared as one of the most powerful armies the galaxy has seen. Able to dominate any being in unarmed combat. Made of nanotechnological, self-maintaining tech that can assimilate other life forms to keep themselves powered up. Built for strength and speed. They used to be some of the best planetary invaders EVER, and back in the day, no race could stand up to them.

Until guys like the Hanshaks, Balifids, Ungooma happened. They were able to kick their asses. Repeatedly. WITH PEACE. Making entire Minion armies forget what they were doing. Making them act as un-robotlike as possible, absolutely destroying their original directives. Keeping this up until literally half of the entire Minion population is entirely benevolent, and thanks to the Baliflids, are pretty fun to be around. Nice job guys! Keep up the good work. ^^

Also, the baliflids can't be from Earth. It says in the intro video that this was all taking place thousands of years ago. And there's nothing on Earth that has 3 tongues.

*(Darn, that little guy with the fur and the tail is cute!)*
Jay: It's a mouse..! An alien mouse! Look Burgundy, isn't he or she adorable..?
Bur: Cute as Windy but I am cuter..! Heehee! Alien mousie, can you climb trees? Come eat apples with me!
*(Burgundy is Maroon's little sister, whose hobbies include being cute, advertising that she's cute, running away from humans with Pokeballs and being addicted to apples)*

So tell us, Tipsy. Which alien race is the mousie from?  ^-^ You don't specify!

OOoh whoops, almost forgot to specify! But the alien mousie happens to be a Baliflid! Tiny mouse. Descended from Earth Mice. Enjoy not having to take life seriously. A lot of them like to play around, and can collectively stop an aggressive alien race in their tracks!

(And sometimes they stop aggressive beasts by playing the cute card. XDD)

Baliflid: Oooh I love Earth Fruits! Gimme!

*Scurries up a tree to get some good ol' apples. They pretty much have little to fear on Earth. XD**

we are similar in taht we have alien races, but in mine, most of them are part of the Cidonii Conglomarate, and thus, hostile.

Aaah I figured as much.

Most of my alien races don't exactly fit into the category of "good" or "hostile", mostly because like humans, they tend to vary a lot in attitudes and behavior, and even races that seem "hostile" have their batch of good eggs. And even "good" races have their aggressive or even evil eggs.

Y'know...for the most part, the Planet of Hats Logic rarely applies here.

Although that's prolly cuz I don't have the Cidonii in my 'verse yet. XD

One has to understand that the Cidonii conglomarate is, in its basis, a Religious cult that thinks all life should be destroyed. in general, aside from the Cidonii high council the alien races themselves are not EVIL or BAD. Hell the Alliance does not mark them anything other than "Hostile" Most of them are either misled or brainwashed, and its exactly why the Cidonii War drags all the way to Futuretech era. Even in there industrial Era, the Humans had the tech to DESTROY all cidonii controlled planets and be done with it, but, thats not the objective. The Objective is to free the Mislead populace of the cosmos. The Alliance is not concerned with Victory. they have a victory button in there pocket by then, but there striving to see how manny lives they can save. Every planet they free from control, they find a local populace as diverse as the members of the alliance, confirming there suspicious that none of those aliens are "Always Chaotic Evil" while there are primarily Evil Races they free, "Evil" is not something than needs to be destroyed, captured or defeated in the cloudkillverse. Evil is the selfish oppotunist, and theres plenty of room to thrive in the Alliance.

Oh goodie!! So I'm not the only one. XD

Although there's still a lot for me to learn about Cloudkillverse, I think we both have an idea of how things work!

Although I don't think I've ever actually seen any of these alien races. You say most of them are hostile at this point??

well i dunno if i have tagged them Alien. in my thing they call Aliens "Exoterran" because... its a correct term.

they are over here: fav.me/d6hj42p tho i should note this is the shapes the alliance FIGHTS them in. not how the people actually LOOK before biologic-raped by the cidonii.

Hmm....alongside the Aziti I might just include concept art of what could possibly be their original forms. I mean I totally AM looking for more aliens to draw as it is. XD

For them I'll definitely credit you! Although they might appear in stories and RP's more than once. But either way, Imma sketch them first before actually getting to lineart and whatnot.

Either way the aliens series is easily one of my favorite so far. ^^
