Description So...I'm unsure if this is FantasTech or not. This was mainly inspired by the entries for the Smoktober challenge made by . Granted, I probably haven't read up on his lore too well but um...I'm gonna give this a shot anyway!

Mostly cuz I wanted to put some other stuff in between my FT content to mix things up a bit! Hope ye don't mind!

---------------------------

Stollwurms and Lindwurms are, genetically and physically, very similar creatures. Most of the time, they live in the same regions too, albeit the similarities largely end there.

So to speak, both families are known for having only two limbs. But the way in which they are configured and used makes all the difference! That is...
- Lindwurms are primarily subterranean, and have evolved limbs that are able to make burrows, as well as snatch any sources of food. For this purpose they tend to be smaller in size (with some exceptions), kind of like mole lizards.

- Stollwurms are terrestrial hunters. Their body plan is vaguely reminiscent of theropod dinosaurs, because they hunt on foot. Sometimes as pursuit predators, other times as ambush predators, but always with very strong legs.

----------------------------------

The Tatzelwurm is one of the smaller species of Stollwurm, being only slightly bigger than the average housecat. It makes up for its tiny size with its ability to run at 35 mph, using its claws like cleats, before using its rather beefy limbs to stomp its prey to death. They can even pursue their prey into the trees, using their claws to grab onto tree trunks, and their tails to wrap around tree branches, allowing them a swift climb.

This Tatzelwurm's current meal of choice is Verey's Lindwurm, so-called because of its ability to send "flare signals" to convey distress. They can only use this fire in spurts, so it's not very efficient as a weapon. Yet this can potentially scare off the Tatzelwurm if they fire it close enough to its eyes.

After all...they can see well in the dark, allowing them to pick off prey hiding in burrows. This makes their eyes sensitive to the light.
