Last one of the bunch! I think! THE GREY ALIENS!When looking into these guys, I kinda thought of why the HECK do these things exist. Biologically speaking. So I did a little bit of homework, no conspiracy theories, and had found some tidbits saying that they were cloned by the Reptoids. But from what? Then it hit me! The step down from reptiles that they'd use as cloning experiments weeere AMPHIBIANS! Less powerful! Less expected to make good use of their intelligence! And it can suit their usual physical descriptions! WHY NOT??
So here I am now, making a Lives of Others segment involving Grey ALiens. Do have to say, it was about time I got about to drawing these guys. They've waited a while. Buuuuut they're still not extraterrestrial, but ULTRAterrestrial. Because I assure you, extraterrestrial beings are probably not gonna be biologically organized like THIS.

The Zeta-Reticulans
Star Zeta 2 Reticuli
The Zeta-Reticulans were initially bred as a slave race by the Reptoids, designed to be extremely smart; enough to work the technology built by the Reptoids, and know how to advance it. But also designed to be submissive to the Reptoids. After having first tried with mammals and failing, they turned to their even weaker terrestrial neighbors: the amphibians. Specifically frogs. Being so small, so unassuming, so easily frightened, the Reptoids took frogs and twisted their DNA beyond recognition. After spawning the first Greys, they complied for a very long time. But eventually, most of them too got away from the Reptoid's grasps, and went to colonize the cosmos around them. While they did do a lot to advance Reptoid society, Greys very nearly rival, perhaps even exceed the potential of their former masters.
As they've set off into space and colonized different planets, they've evolved into all kinds of different forms. Some became tall and white. Some became short and green. Some became grey. Some became more human-like. Some came to resemble large bugs. Either way, they've come a long way from their roots. And much like the Reptoids, they're aggressive. The degree varies on the species, but at least THRICE in the history of each division have their major leaders done something SERIOUSLY unscrupulous. For some, it's kidnapping members of their home planet's major sentient beings (the Humans) to perform surgical/genetic experiments with them. For some, it's abducting domestic animals, and extracting bits they can replicate continuously as sustenance. For some, it's directly interfering with human society and politics, doing things that attract negative publicity from other races. It all depends. Like the Reptoids, not all of them are stark evil like we portray them to be. But at the same time, not all of them are good either!
This scene portrays a trio of Zeta-Reticulan politicians from different divisions meeting up in a main mothership, orbiting the star Zeta 2 Reticuli. Each of them have been called in to settle diplomatic problems they've encountered during the last decade, and after that, agree on treaties, make plans for next decade, and write agreements to make with other species. This may sound a lot like Congress, but trust me when I say that they handle these things with MUCH more maturity than any human politician. When they go into the building, they do it with the intent to solve a problem, rather than create a 24-hour long fillibuster for it.
Also note how the little green one is the only one that dressed gaudily to the meeting. That's just because having been so far removed from the rest of their evolutionary family tree, they're a lot less stoic than their kin. And they show it too.
