Description I promised a tutorial AGESSS ago, sorry for the wait. The photos are not the best because I had to take them with my phone ~~.
ANYWAY! For all of you who asked about how I make the bases and the lettering on my jewelry, here it is. I don't claim this is the best way, it's just my way ^^.
I made the design very simple, it basically IS just a base and a lettering because I wanted to show something that could be made with minimal materials and tools.
Ask questions! Let me know if you like it! Start playing with clay! ;D

EDIT: I make my designs in Corel Draw .

This is such a nice crafting project. Having a necklace such as this will surely turn heads in a convention of GoT fans.

What kind of blade do you use? An exacto knife or something more specific for clay? Great tutorial, by the way! I feel compelled to try it now!

Hey! Thank you so much for the kind words!
I use a scalpel, the one shown on the first photo . I started with it, got used to it and still it's the most comfortable tool for me :>. You can also see my tools here:Β tishaia.deviantart.com/art/Wor…
Hope it helps!

Hi! I really wanted to give it a try at doing this, because it looks awesome and I love these sayings and the series....
But I have never done anything like this... Sooo... would you mind maybe teaching me how to print the mold, so it will be printed in the right size and so on? (yeah, I know... it's THAT bad... sry.)

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

tishaia In reply to Agni9 [2014-08-19 18:42:29 +0000 UTC]

Hey! That's difficult, because I have no idea what program you use for printing and so on. I guess you would have to ask someone who can do it for you. Don't be worried about the size, pretty much if you think it looks good printed on the page, it will look good when the pendants is done .Β

This tutorial is amazing! I'm a total newbie with polymer clay, I just tried it once as a child.Β
How did you made this tiny star in the middle? I mean... did you just roll little snakes? O_________O I can't imagine to ever get something dainty. ._."Β

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

tishaia In reply to HarukaInLove [2014-05-05 18:55:47 +0000 UTC]

I rolled the snakes by hand XD. It's not that hard, you just need a little practice with particular brand of clay to get to know how it works. I keep my fingers crossed for your second try with polymer! ;D

ihni [2013-07-31 09:45:03 +0000 UTC]

Hey, a question: do you use some kind of glue or anything to make the different pieces of clay stick to each other, or do they do that anyway? Like here, with the details in the middle, or the other pendants you make, where you use different colours.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

tishaia In reply to ihni [2013-08-01 00:34:11 +0000 UTC]

The clay should stick, unless its very dryed out, but it be better after the baking. I had to use super glue once or twice, but I usually try to make things that are durable, so no tiny or thin details that could fall out or breake . I always paint my items with protective varnish and sometimes I use two layers on the problematic area. Hope it helps!
