A rendering of Titanic's First Class Reception Room. Located on D Deck, the reception room served as an area for first class passengers to gather before and after dinner, or at any time of day for tea or social gatherings. It was also the terminus of the magnificent Grand Staircase, where the D Deck landing was adorned with an elegant candelabra, as well as a receiving area for first class passengers boarding the ship at D Deck in the adjacent foyers.
