Description Yet another digital drawing for my upcoming world-build speculative biology project, Nopcsania.
10 billion years ago, the close relatives of the proto-decapods (early members of the modern ones) were the most common "vertebrate" creatures in the ancient seas. Most of them were small, while others became very large and turned into the apex predators. Like this one.

This guy (Deinolingua maximus)  was about 5 meters long, one of the largest fossil from that time. The previous recorder was the Donilingua caniformia. Like others from its kind, it had a jawless mouth with highly muscular, serrated proboscis inside in it.
It is very interesting that the scientists found evidence for sexual dimorphism in this species. The male and female died together, and the multiple flower like genitals on the male's fossils are well preserved.
