Hee hee hee--or rather, Ho ho ho!! Very VERY cute! I love it! I especially love lil'BB trying to climb on the sled, vindictive RedX knocking poor Cy's head off, and a resigned Starfire gently tugging her beloved away from beating the crap out of the evil presents. Just one question: Why is Raven embarrassed? Is she scared or something? Those evil Christmas presents remind me of the ones from Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas. I love that movie...

Yeah, Fruits Basket isn't exactly some totally redefining pinnacle of manga...It is pretty good though. It was pretty big here--well, as big as an anime or manga can get in a place where it's not mainstream. Not as big as Fullmetal Alchemist though, which is huge in ALL countries...^^

Really...?...well...here's a fact...in Indonesia, FMA only lasted for 5 months...before the cooler animes take over..(something called The Boondocks..and Tokyo Tribes..).
Here in my hometown, no anime lasted longer than a year...with the exception of Yu Yu Hakusho...^O^

Fullmetal Alchemist is still going pretty strong over here, as strong as something that isn't mainstream is anyway. I could be (and most likely am) wrong, as I rarely leave my room and know few others who know what anime even IS. Tis a sad small world where I am...^^

The TV dubbed series right?...it's actually an altered version of the original...that's why it's so popular in US, it was redevised by a Californian company (If I am not mistaken)....to suits US tastebuds....^_^
Sad to tell you that the original and the manga are well.....mainstream...not my stuff...><...
Well, even though not many in the world know...10 out of 10 teens in Indonesia read mangas and watch animes and participated in J-Cult events on a daily basis...^^...it's our root....

Ha. I don't blame you. I think some J-pop tunes are catchy, but that's about it. I don't have much of an ear for it either. It was changed from the original, but I didn't mind because the VAs were Supreme...Funimation has excellent voice actors...GAH I LOVE THEM!! ^^ It was Funimation who dubbed/dumbed it for us Americans.^^

I've seen a few Martin Mystery episodes, but not enough to really get into it, although I admit I thought the show had merit.

It's not really that deep of course, DEEPNESS is what sets apart animes from Western cartoons..it is as if anime are made not for kids...^^...but Team Galaxy really NAILED the anime looks....I said to myself, DAMN...a little more story they're ANIME...^^

Avatar: The Last Airbender, though it may be listed as an anime on certain websites, is the exact same way. Looks like anime, has vague Oriental references, and would be SO so great if only the creators spent a little more time on the plot and if it were rated PG-13...
