In my Crossover Universe , the truck accident which mutated the Turtles and Splinter is the same one which led to young Matt Murdock become Daredevil.Unlike in the original Mirage Studios comics where the canister bounced towards Chet Manley's turtle bowl and breaking it, Matt accidentally pushed the boy which made him drop his bowl.
