I have this idea of a Legion of Substitute Heroes live-action TV series. It would be a sci-fi comedy-drama show, similar to The Orville. The show would be called The Substitutes. The show would either be an Arrowverse spin-off, since Earth-38 (the Supergirl universe) merged with Earth-1, and thus the Legion of Super-Heroes is Earth-Prime's future by default; or probably it's own separate continuity as often the case with other DC live-action shows.

The Subs would be a team of misfits determine to prove their worth after being rejected by the Legion. Though they're mostly seen as a joke, especially by the Science Police. Seeing that they have potentials, the Legion deputize them as Legion Reserves. They mostly deal with C-list villains the Legion don't even bother with, which they classify as "third-rate nuisances". But occasionally they would deal with more legitimate threats when the situation calls for it, like the Khunds, the Legion of Super Villains (or the Light Speed Vanguard), the Fatal Five, or even the Time Trapper. When they're not out saving the day, the Subs would just hang out and stuff.

At least this is the how the Subs would be in my DC Live-Action Universe .
