Protogens are able to withstand a massive amount significant cybernetic surgeries while still maintaining stable life signs, unlike most other organic races. For example, one could quickly adapt to an otherwise extremely toxic, uninhabitable atmosphere by undergoing surgery to breathe the chemicals in the air instead of oxygen.

Made within Affinity Photo. I started to use transparent painting brushes to compose the lighting and bloom effects (excluding the background). You might see them a bit blurred, though.
